Kutz nods at the guard (basically acting as if he belongs) and says (just loud enough for the guard to hear) ...

Come on ... nothing to worry about. The guards have the situation all in hand. Lets join the group over there where it is safe.

OOC: If the guard buys it - cool, keep looking. If the guard makes a move to alert anyone then we'll have to roll some dice to see if he can duck my thrown knife.

The three men stand before the rest of the town, leaders within their factions, and wait. They let the common folk mumble and chatter and bring up minor points for the upcoming town hall meeting. The entire town waits for their 'recon force' to arrive; the first group of explorers and scavenger to potentially benefit The Community.

The chatter stops has the first person enters and everyone looks at the new arrival. The main figure of the triumvirate greets each person as they come in, "Welcome to our town hall. We have much business to discuss on this day."

Wanted to greet you all and welcome you to the CoK thread. Glad to see people with interest in my little homebrew. I hope to keep you entertained. Looking for some good roleplay, timely posts and action. I assume thats what we all want.

I'll be somewhat busy next couple days but will try my best to get the game started. We have enough Pc's to really start and hopefully the rest will join us in time.

The small but lucrative thorp of Prunedale rests in the rural hills of the Purelands. Far from most large communities the small thorp is quite lucrative. The cause is the large and influential merchant family; the Botwens. Nearly all the town works or earns it's living off the lucrative plum trade that the Botwens brought to the land. Nearly all the land for miles around the "town" is owned by the Botwens, as are any positions of importance in town.

The townships structures include:
A small tavern (The Plum)(Owned by the Botwens)
A temple to Pelor (run by a human named Argus Hendrick)
A unnamed supply store (run by the Botwens)
A Mill, blacksmith, and small inn (All owned by the Botwens)

Outside of the town are expansive plum orchards. Dotting them are small homes where families employed by the Botwens run their section of the Orchard. Now and again there are small towers to watch out for danger.

Day 1:

The town of Prunedale is early to rise today. The farmers tend to their orchards while the blacksmith awakens his slumbering assistant who sleeps in his workshop. They prepare for the days labor by tending their fire and building up it's heat. Local swallows begin to dart across the skies calling out to one another in their own tongue.

Major Botwen the elder of his clan strolls out of his small home taking in his thorp, dressed in his fine clothing followed by two of his nephews. Two young burly lads who grew up fighting and causing mischief, protected by their surname.
